Speh representations for the group GL(n,ℝ).
Mathematical background
The Speh representation \(u(p,q)\) of \(\text{GL}(pq,\mathbb{R})\) is the unique irreducible unitary representation obtained by complementary series from the representation induced from the \(p\)-fold Steinberg representation on a \(q\times q\) block.
